
ABC staff members are Master level licensed and / or certified. Our Executive Director, Renee Seigel, works collaboratively with Clinical Directors, Kathryn Elliott-Hudson in Scottsdale, and Andrew daRosa in Mesa, to coordinate your clinical care.

Renee Siegel, who received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina in psychology, has always had a strong interest in integrating body, mind and spiritual principles in working with clients in counseling. After receiving a master’s degree in marriage and family psychology from Wayne State University, she began her career treating individuals and families affected by drug and alcohol problems. Renee worked in a several inpatient, outpatient, intensive outpatient, and private practice settings. She also worked with a variety of patient populations including women, men, adolescent and dually diagnosed.
Renee is a nationally certified gambling counselor. She has specialized in treating gamblers since 1994 and has a special interest in helping family members. Because of her compulsive gambling expertise, Renee has presented locally and nationally, appeared in the media, trained other treatment professionals, and published articles.
Renee is Executive Director and owner of ABC Wellness Centre, which has locations in both Scottsdale ad Mesa, Arizona. The “ABC” part of the Centre’s name refers to Awareness, Balance and Connection, the formula Renee believes is the framework for a strong recovery program. Comprehensive treatment utilizing the wellness philosophy is available for individuals and families struggling with addictions and other compulsive behaviors.

Kathryn Elliott-Hudson, a nationally certified counselor (NCC), is licensed in substance abuse treatment, having worked in this area for almost 20 years. Additionally, she has worked as a rehabilitation counselor, a school counselor, in private practice, and in hospital settings in Michigan and Pennsylvania; she has also taught psychology, human behavior, and peer facilitating. She began treating gamblers in 1998 as a State of Michigan gambling treatment program provider and is one of the few nationally certified compulsive gambling counselors in Arizona. She holds a master’s degree in counseling from Penn State University and has done advanced study at Michigan State, University of Michigan, Arizona State University, and Rutgers School for Alcohol Studies.
Since 2003, Kathryn has been affiliated with ABC Wellness Centre in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she is a provider in the State of Arizona Treatment Assistant Program for gamblers and facilitator of addiction/codependency groups and an addictions group for members age 55+. She has facilitated trainings and presented nationally and locally. She holds memberships in the National Council on Problem Gambling, Arizona Association of Alcohol and Drug Counselors, American Counseling Association, and Iota Alpha Delta Counseling Honorary. An advocate for senior issues, she is a member of the Regional Leadership Council for the Desert Southwest Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and chairs the Diversity Subcommittee. Special interests include legal issues as they impact families of gamblers and the effect of Alzheimer’s disease on families. Other interests include women’s issues, adult children of dysfunctional families, and Pathological Internet use.

Andrew daRosa, MA, LPC, LISAC. Is Clinical Director of our newly opened Mesa Office. Andrew will be in the office Tuesday through Friday and brings with him years of experience working in the Arizona mental health system, specifically with substance abuse and gambling addiction. Andrew will be available to do intakes, individual and group counseling.
He is also qualified to provide clinical supervision to recent graduates and, or new professionals seeking supervision hours to meet the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners licensure requirements.


Cira N. Villa, MSW, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Family Studies and Mexican-American Studies from the University of Arizona and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. She is certified in Thought Field Therapy (TFT) and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and works with children and families with issues of trauma, substance abuse and domestic violence. For the past 3 years, Cira has been a Crisis Therapist for a local mental health provider working with severely troubled children and adolescence. A native of Arizona, Cira has dedicated her time and work efforts towards working with the Latino/a population through several different non-profit organizations around the Phoenix and Tucson areas. She also has experience working with different children and families from Mexico, Guatemala, and South America. At ABC Wellness, Cira specializes in child and family therapy with an emphasis on cultural awareness utilizing a strengths based-model to support the family dynamic. Cira is also developing with several colleagues, the Child and Adolescent program designed to assist families achieve functional and respectful relationships.

Erin L. Stanfield, LMSW, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy from Indiana University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. She is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council of Exercise (ACE) and worked in recreation prior to realizing her passion for helping people achieve happiness through counseling. Erin's clinical experience includes working with individuals, families and couples. At ABC Wellness, Erin specializes in working with adolescents, and facilitates health and wellness therapy for all ages. Erin believes in an integrated mind and body and utilizes a holistic approach to mental health in order for her clients to achieve an optimal state of wholeness and well being.

Garron holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Psychology and Sociology and a Master’s degree in Social Work both from Arizona State University. He has extensive experience working with adolescents, couples and individuals and families suffering from addiction. Garron’s focus is on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and helping individuals learn the necessary tools to manage life’s challenges outside of therapy. At ABC Wellness Centre, he facilitates the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), offers help to family members of compulsive gamblers, facilitates individual, couples and adolescent counseling.
