Women’s Co-dependency/Addictions Group
Mondays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
This group is offered to young to middle-aged women who are either living with an addiction or who are co-dependent. This group’s focus is on liberating women to find their voice and learning to identify the concept of “who I am.” This group offers the support from other women who understand what one is going through. Topics discussed consist of short and long term goal setting, finding a voice, boundary setting, self esteem, eliminating chaos, needs and wants, communication skills, and understanding addiction. A cognitive behavioral approach is used within this therapeutic setting. Expectations of this group are a 12 week commitment (excused absences only), and the will and determination to want to make a change.
Early Addictions
Mondays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. & Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The primary focus of this group is to assist male and female clients during the early stage of addictions recovery. The group helps clients ascertain their level of change in relationship to recovery. The group additionally serves as emotional support to group members. The group serves to educate clients on various subjects pertinent to addiction and recovery. The clients will process various topics including; stages of addictions, boundaries, codependency, support groups, communication, and family of origin issues.
Recovery Group for Compulsively Disordered Females
Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
This group is for addicted females and family members/significant others. These are not time-limited groups and clients can enter and exit at any time. A six month commitment is the regular program expectation. There is no age limit but women 55 and over may feel more comfortable in the Second Chance group on Thursdays.
Men’s Codependency & Addictions Group
Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The primary focus of this group is to assist men with addictions and codependency problems. The group is designed to provide an environment where men feel safe to discuss issues related to addiction and codependency. The clients are educated in anger management techniques and to understand power and control issues in their relationships. The clients explore boundary, communication, and family of origin issues.
Women’s Phase II Group
Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m.
This group is for women who are in recovery and are dedicated to assuming total responsibility for the happiness in their lives. Women in this group transform limiting beliefs and behaviors into empowering ones. A comprehensive wellness approach is incorporated, while looking at the physical, mental/emotional and spiritual roadblocks getting in the way of recovery. Women recovering from chemical dependency and behavioral addictions must have stable abstinence to enroll.
Addictions Phase II Group
Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
This group is for men and women in recovery from addictions with a history of substantial abstinence from those addictions. Some of the areas explored in this group are relationship to self, relationship repair with others, growing one’s spirituality and anchoring the lifestyle changes necessary to maintain recovery. This group may be most helpful to those members looking to explore support for ongoing recovery issues in addition to their use of self help and sponsorship.
Keepin' It Real!
Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Learn how to cope with daily stress and/or addiction urges. This ongoing series of classes will focus on stress management techniques, mindfulness training, breath awareness, meditation, and strategies for balanced living. Groups are held on Wednesdays from 6pm-7pm. Since this is an ongoing series, you may attend just one session or continue regularly. Please call the office to confirm a place. Classes are $25.00 per session. Regular group fees apply for TAP participants.
Second Chance Recovery Group
Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
This group is for compulsively disordered females and family members age 55+. Group focus is to promote growth and change spiritually, intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially. Topics covered include the importance of support systems, life in recovery, repairing relationships in families and managing emotional and physical well-being.
Financial Group
Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The primary purpose of this group is to assist clients in developing a healthy relationship with money. The clients explore their emotional relationship to money and finances. The clients will learn how to create a complete financial inventory and functional budget. The clients will explore basic financial concepts and planning for a manageable future where money is concerned.
